to be a good architect, you need to like and understand art or need to know how to do art? I mean, if I like art and stuff but don't really get much into making and creating I can still be a good architect above all?

Architecture is part of art. It is, essentially, a sculpture on a grander scale that one can walk through and live in. Architects actively engage in the “creating” process. In order to be a good architect, you need to tap into your creative side. Architects understand art, and most architects do artistic activities other than design and build structures.
