In the United States, after 5 years of schooling to get your bachelor’s degree, there are generally 3 years of interning (field experience) known as IDP. The national council of architecture has a checklist of hours that a licensed architect must sign you off on. If you get your master’s degree (which is typically 6 years), then you only need 2 years of interning.
